Zimbabweans are anxiously awaiting more results from Saturday’s election, which have been slow to emerge.
An independent monitoring group says opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai got 49% of the vote - just short of the 50% needed to avoid a run-off.Official presidential results have not been published, but Mr Tsvangirai’s party says he won and the delay is to allow the outcome to be rigged.
The ruling Zanu-PF and the opposition are level in the parliamentary vote.
Zanu-PF has 53 parliamentary seats, while the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) has 56 in total, with 101 seats still not declared, according to official results.

I’m a tad tired of how everyone expects elections to be rigged, et cetera, et cetera.
And our oppositions use the fucked-up paranoia of the West about Africa. I’m so fucking physically tired.
If Mugabe wins, it was rigged. If the opposition wins, it was fair. Fuck.

And Uncle Bob needs to pull an Amin. Run away and not be heard from again. But his kids can be respectable citizens of the new Zim after he’s left. Influential enough to have peace talks with rebels. That’s the way to go.

Rigged? It hardly matters anymore. And Comrade if the Americans can rig their own elections they’re hardly going to care if anyone else does either and when their media bitches about it it’s just sensationalism, they just wanta few more dollars from the extra newspapers they’re going to sell. And Carlo is right, Chill Out, don’t want you to go popping a vein. It’d look weird…I don’t know if my shallowness could handle you having a popped vein…you might look like the psycho teacher from Daria with the pulsating eye vein…
